I applied online. I interviewed at Memorial Hermann Health System
Interview
Zoom interview with panel of 8 or so employees. Mostly managers and experienced members of teams in one room. Interview was for new grad process. I was from out of state, so there was no prior meet & greet, and I heard from them via a phone call a few days later with an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked 9 questions. One of them being: what would be your preceptor preference?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Memorial Hermann Health System (New York, NY)
Interview
Initial call with recruiter going over the position, approximate pay and bonuses.
About 1 week later in person interview consisting of two people. Should take about 30 mins. In my case they it wasn't even 10 mins. They didn't bother to ask about my background or have my resume or ask for a resume that I had on me and then made assumptions about my experience that were inaccurate. I wasn't able to correct the downward spiral in the few minutes they gave me, unfortunately. I had the feeling they knew before I showed up they wouldn't hire me. My suggestion is to just not schedule interviews with people you don't feel have enough experience (this was the feedback received). I've been in healthcare for 20+ years. A nurse for 12 of those. I work in a high acuity setting with pediatric patients. I didn't have enough experience for the job apparently, but they do love hiring new grads... So not sure what's up with that.
Sometimes they set up a 3 hour shadow following this.
