Phone screen from talent acquisition and in-person interview 7 days later. Interviewed by HR manager, Direct manager, and manager for another department. 3 rounds of interviews 30 minutes each. The interview was onsite and was exactly 1 hour 30 minutes.
- Why do you want this position specifically?

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience
Started with a phone screening. In person interview with 5 people. Each one on one. About 30 mins each. Discuss wide array of things very dependent on the interviewer. Took multiple hours.
- Asked about experiences off of resume.

A recruiter reached out to me and had me set up a RingCentral account to conduct the interview process. I was supposed to prepare for my technical skills to be tested as well as my overall fit with the company. However, each time she scheduled an interview, she would ghost me.

Initial telephone screening with two individuals. They asked me several questions about my experience and daily tasks. Was asked about notice period and my specific salary. Connection kept dropping so it sounded like I was interesting. Interviewers did not ask many questions.
- Specific experience and competency.

I applied online. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience (Cincinnati, OH) in Jul 2020
Non-responsive HR throughout a drawn out process leading to an eventual ghosting. I applied and received a response from HR after 8 days - normal enough. We scheduled a phone screen for the following day. The screen went well and the HR recruiter said they would recommend me to be brought in for an in-person interview. 11 days after, I had not heard anything and reached out for any update. The recruiter nearly immediately called apologizing stating the interviews were being scheduled by another person, but I should hear something soon. It was 9 more days until I heard from Meridian again, but we arranged an in-person interview for the following week. It was a bit rushed meeting with a total of 4 people in an hour (2 x 2 30-minute sessions), but went well. 10 days go by without any response. I reached out to HR for an update - and I never received one. Shortly after, I saw the job re-posted on Glassdoor (originally on another job board). I never received a rejection or a response from HR. I liked the people I interviewed with and think the company would be a good one to work with, but put off by the drawn out and non-responsive hiring process.
- HR wanted an explanation/reason for leaving every prior position. Meridian seems to be filled with mostly career employees and concerned about multiple jobs in your history.

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience
First contacted by HR rep had phone interview went well. Then progressed to the Skype interview. There was 5 different interviewers each person asking the exact same questions. They were all really rude and inconsiderate of the my time. They spent over 4 hours interviewing me just to send an automated message saying I wasn’t selected. Again very unprofessional and overall bad experience
- Why do you want to work here

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience (Cincinnati, OH)
One interview in person in my city, standard sales questions. I was called the next day to fly to Cincinnati to meet with the three VPs (Sales, HR and Inside Sales). Interviews started at 8am (5am PST) after flying across the company. HR went out of her way to get me out of my comfort zone and basically dogged me for working at bigger, better and internationally known companies "why would we hire someone who worked at...?" "what do they even sell?". It was like a minor league coach belittling a major league player. The sales VPs were very nice and expected an aggressive sales pitch, which is easy if you can sell.
- What's the proudest moment you've had in your career?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience (Cincinnati, OH) in Mar 2017
I had a screening interview with HR first. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. These were about one week apart. I was then asked to come to Cincinnati to interview in person The interview consisted of five 45-minute interviews. Four of the five were director level (including with HR) and one was with VP. At the end of the interview, I had a 15-minute presentation on a topic of my choice, followed by a 15-minute Q&A with all five interviewers in the room. The next day I received an offer.
- Describe a situation in which you noticed cultural issues becoming roadblocks in your career.

The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience
Application was online via an automated system that did not allow for a cover letter. It took 47 days before any contact was made and that consisted of an email stating "We have carefully reviewed your qualifications and have made the decision to pursue other applicants at this time."

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Newtown, OH
I applied online. I interviewed at Meridian Bioscience (Newtown, OH) in Jun 2016
The interview was grueling I interviewed with the manager of the department as well as 3 would be co-workers and the last being the HR Generalist and she was brutal I left the interview in tears. The HR Generalist acted superior and was very rude.
