The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Meta (Palo Alto, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
1 day phone interview, 2 days on-site
prepared ideas/sketches for new product ideas
some interviewers were open/willing to listen to background & ideas, while others seemed disinterested and had their own point of view to push
background or experience is NOT valued
reviewed, in-depth current product offering and suggested improvements, but it never came off as valuable to them, just whether or not it fit with the Facebook stance
Interview process was fairly straightforward. Recruiters are super helpful in getting you prepared for whats to come. Interviews got scheduled fairly fast, so having the momentum is great. Each interview only lasted about 30 minutes. from start to finish it took about 1 month
A multi-stage interview process that typically includes screening, technical and/or case assessments, and conversations with different stakeholders to evaluate both your skills and how well you’d work with the team and the role.
Multiple rounds across product, engineering, and business leaders. Long cycle and many situational questions..."how would you respond.." many questions about specific prior experiences in handling challenges, frictions, leadership. Be prepared for lengthy process
