      Client Services Manager Interview

      5 Dec 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Seattle, WA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Meta (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2017

      Interview

Probably the worst interview process I've experienced in 8+ years in tech and advertising. The recruiter was very disorganized and unresponsive. After confirming an onsite interview, she canceled the day before with no explanation and delayed for 2 months. The onsite interview was easy and the interviewers were generally friendly, albeit some clearly under-prepared. If you have even a basic understanding of media strategy, A/B testing, and general KPI metrics - it should be a breeze. Most challenging part of the process is writing a media proposal (literally writing on a white board, as they do not provide a calculator, pen, or paper to create a basic grid or make calculations), in 10 minutes with partial data. Provided you have any experience planning and thinking on your feet, again this shouldn't present any real challenges - just bring a calculator and a pen/paper if that is your style. After getting a vote of approval from the panel interviewers, I was moved to meeting with a hiring manager who was out on leave at the time, and placed back in a queue to wait. After 5 months of starting and stopping, I decided to withdraw my application. Having been referred by several current employees for the role, I determined that the biggest challenge I would face was getting through to recruiting and my interest had soured. The long and short is, provided you have basic ad sales experience, the interview process is easy - the recruiting process however, needs some drastic improvements.

      Client Services Manager Interview

      11 Jul 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dubai
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Dubai) in Mar 2020

      Interview

Good start with the recruiter. He was helpful and professional. Next, things started to get strange. I went to the next stage where I was supposed to meet the hiring manager. After agreeing on the time. The meeting invite was sent. I accepted it. I log in to BlueJeanes and I wait for 5-10-15 min with and no nobody one showed up. I checked my email again to see if the meeting was cancelled last minute or something was up but nothing was communicated. I reached out the recruiter I asked him what's up and he replied to me hours later saying sorry the hiring manager got sick and he couldn't be there for the meeting. He said we'll arrange for another meeting with someone else until the hiring manager is back. The second meeting was scheduled and it took place. It was good overall, we had good discussion and the guy seemed brilliant. He mentioned though that you need to meet the hiring manager as role you are interviewing for is in his team. Days later, the recruiter came back and said now we need you to meet the hiring manager he is back. Let's find a suitable time for both of you. That time was found. I come prepare and I log in to the call and .... a drum roll ... the hiring manager doesn't show up again :| For the second time the same guy doesn't show up without any heads up or any notice! Just like that I log in and I talk to myself. I reached out the recruiter and told him what's up and he said Sorry let me look into that... and that was it In short I was impressed by the recruiter and I was completely shocked by how unprofessional the hiring manager was!

      Interview

An initial phone call with the recruiter, a call with the hiring manager, and then followed by a video call and an onsite interview. Incredibly friendly recruiters, quick responses with feedback, and the most straightforward interview i have ever been through. They have this down to an art!
