      Engineering Interview

      24 Aug 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at NASA in Jul 2015

      Interview

I applied in early in May 2015 and didn't receive a response until August. The interviewers were very kind, trying their hardest to make you feel comfortable. I had no previous engineering experience from co ops or internships, but I had a 4.0 gpa with lots of leadership experience leading my university's engineers without borders chapter. Even without experience, it was one of the easiest interviews I've had. If you want a NASA internship, focus on GPA, teamwork experience, and leadership experience

      Interview

It was a very relaxed, phone interview with my potential supervisor. Basic questions about how i work best and why I chose engineering. He told me a bit about the project he wanted me to work on and basically offered me the job if I was willing to take the spring and summer off to work there.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NASA (South Bend, IN) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Received a phone call from the internship coordinator at Johnson Space Center out of the blue after applying online. I was asked some basic questions about my interest in NASA and engineering experience and I was informed that I was the top candidate for the position I applied to. I received a formal offer a few weeks later.

      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NASA in Mar 2016

      Interview

I applied for the position through NASA's OSSI web site for students seeking summer employment. 5 days later I received an interview from an internship coordinator stating that I was being identified as a summer candidate for the specific project to which I'd applied. From there, a phone interview was scheduled for a few weeks later. The interview itself was quite easy. It had a few technical questions mostly covering entry level chemistry and materials science principles. A few months later I heard back that I was no longer being considered for the position.
