I applied online. I interviewed at NEXT (Glasgow, Scotland) in Aug 2016
Interview
Very lengthy online application with a lot of scenario type questions. Got an interview, they asked a few general questions and then put you on the shop floor for half an hour and asked the staff you were with what they thought.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Very general questions about flexibility, where I live, why do I want to work there.
I think they based their decision on how well you perform on the shop floor. Just smile at everyone and chat to the staff and customers. They won't ask you to do any real work just about your manner.
Simple and efficient - lasted around 30 minutes with typical strength based questions. This included how do you interact with customers, how do you handle difficult situations, and how do you bring your best self to work. You may even have a floor walk.
Phone interview where you will be asked general questions such as previous experience.
You will then be asked to attend an in person interview.
Overall it isn’t too difficult and just general retail questions.
Behaviour questionnaire to be completed online which took roughly an hour and had many glitches so had to keep going back actually got rejected from this then helped put as friends and family for sale and got the job
