1st round: Recruiter phone call
For "Why I chose my major/minor": Prepare a compelling story, using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result), detailing a project or experience from your studies that showcases relevant skills like problem-solving or adaptability.
For "Why NJM?": Research their core values, which include reliability, service, and a focus on safety. Mention specific initiatives you admire, such as their award-winning Teen Driver Safety Programs, to show genuine interest.
2nd round: Hiring manager (SQL, Case Studies)
SQL preparation: Review fundamental database concepts and practice writing queries for realistic scenarios, such as finding top customers or optimizing slow-performing queries.
Case study strategy: Verbalize your thought process, ask clarifying questions, and use frameworks like STAR to organize your recommendations. Focus on the business context and relate your solution to the company's mission.

Interview
First round was an HR screening, then there was a technical round (mainly SQL and basic math problems), then there was a behavioral interview with one executive, then there were 3 separate panel interviews with various executives, all in-person. Free lunch with the team after the panel interviews.
