I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at NYU Langone Health (New York, NY) in Apr 2023
Interview
Had five interviews for an Administrative Assistant job. The people I interviewed with were all friendly, though they all asked very similar questions and it seemed like they didn't coordinate with each other prior to their interviews. The first four interviews were about an hour long each, I was given a lot of information about the organization.
Final interview was very short, the interviewer just asked what my life plan was. At the very end of the final interview, he asked me for a writing sample, though the job posting never indicated that this would be part of the application.
I sent samples the next day and then I did not hear anything for two weeks. I emailed to inquire about the status of my application, and the final interviewer's assistant answered within 10 minutes saying that I did not get the job. It is clear if I had not emailed, they would have never bothered to let me know.
To sum up: Interviewers were all fairly nice, questions were all fairly easy. However, to not even send a courtesy email after five interviews to let a candidate know they had not been chosen shows a clear disregard for the time of their job applicants. All in all, it was negative experience, and I would strongly urge jobseekers who value their time to avoid applying.

Interview
I believed I did well because I answered all the questions they have to ask me. Is so disappointing that administrative manager who wrote back to me: ****** uses Epic and schedules surgeries in Open case, she wasn’t presentable it was hard understanding her when she spoke. She will not be considered for the position.
I was wearing a black blazer along with a white top for virtual interview. If she had hard time understanding me when I spoke, how she knows I schedule surgeries under open cases and uses EPIC. She should say something that she had difficulty hearing me. Sounds like BS to me. Are you expecting me to wear a ballgown to your interview? As a manager writing this message to me on an email sound very unprofessional and rude.
This is my first time hearing from someone that I was presentable.
