I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY)
Interview
A very easy interview process. Very basic questions from two members of the team I joined. The biggest challenge was working with the HR folks. HR is very unorganized and had me questioning if I should even accept the job. While looking each of them up on LinkedIn one of the HR folks I was working with had her profile to currently interested in new opportunities. That was a red flag.
Straightforward but lengthy. Several months from start to finish with limited communication between interviews. Mostly behavioral questions at each phase outside of recruitment interview. Enjoyed the conversations and the people.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at New York Life
Interview
I had a positive experience during the interview process with New York Life, speaking with six different individuals who were professional and thorough. However, the post-interview experience was disappointing. Despite following up, I never received any response, even a month after my final interview.
For a company of New York Life’s stature, I expected better communication and at least the courtesy of a rejection email. It’s disheartening to invest so much time and effort into the process and then be met with silence. This is an area they should improve to respect candidates’ time and expectations.
