I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Columbus, OH)
Interview
There is a three step interview process to be selected as an intern. The first interview session is 15 generic questions asking goals, accomplishments, and why you would be a good fit for the company. Also you will have to take a personality test, which is very simple. You are expected to work 40 plus hours a week in the summer and 15-20 during school year.

Question 1
What is something difficult in life that you overcame?
Straightforward process, interviewed with them on campus. They provided the information I needed. I decided to not move ahead with the interview process as it did not align with my goals, but the interviewers were cordial and professional.
Felt like they were selling me something the whole time. Super easy to talk to, but something just felt off the whole time. Had multiple phases of them explaining why they're so perfect and great to work for (massive selection bias in some of their numbers)
