I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
I applied to the position through my school's career website. I found the contact information for HR and sent them a copy of my resume and cover letter. Within a few days, the person I would be working under called me to set up an interview. She was very flexible with me in scheduling my interview around my final schedule. The interview was very informal and she essentially asked me questions about my resume and the times I would be available.
Straightforward process, interviewed with them on campus. They provided the information I needed. I decided to not move ahead with the interview process as it did not align with my goals, but the interviewers were cordial and professional.
Felt like they were selling me something the whole time. Super easy to talk to, but something just felt off the whole time. Had multiple phases of them explaining why they're so perfect and great to work for (massive selection bias in some of their numbers)
