I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Old Navy (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied online at the beginning of the week and got a call back in about two hours. I set up an interview time for the end of the week. The interview was a group interview in the food court which made it a lot more laid back and fun. Honestly don't be nervous, just be sure to speak up and don't be afraid to answer something incorrectly. Maybe try to introduce yourself to the other candidates before the interview to help you relax. The interview lasted about an hour. There were basic questions and just some discussion about the store policies such as their credit card program and the rewards programs. At the end we discussed availability and what was needed if you got the job (ss card/passport/valid ID/ work permits for minors). We were told that we'd get a call over the weekend if we got the job and if we did not receive a call, it meant that we did not get the job. Also, if this is your first job don't be afraid to say that it would be your first job, they'll give you questions that are directed toward your personality/social skills instead.

Question 1
What was a time when you had to use good customer service skills.
Process was fairly easy and went seamlessly. No complaints except for slight tardiness of interviewer. Everyone that interviewed was very nice and the location was also great. I was offered a position and declined but would recommend.
Idk how your interviewer will be but open availability typically gets u accepted more and if your interviewer is chill (u read the room and match what they are giving) then you could be more straightforward. I told mine I don't like disrespectful managers like the ones I came from at my other jobs. Just kinda know what you absolutely shouldn't say if you're a blabber type with intrusive thoughts (mee!!!).
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Old Navy (Orlando, FL) in May 2024
Interview
It’s very quick. They just want to know if you’ve had any experience; it doesn’t have to be retail. They tell you that you’ll be put in any area so you have some experience in the store.
