I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Optum (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2024
Interview
Good interview process. Kept schedule and asked relevant questions. Received regular updates, mostly automated notifications, but also some direct emails and phone calls. Process is similar to other organizations' processes, where I interviewed with a recruiter first, then the hiring manager, then a panel interview with other leaders. Overall process went very well.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and how your experience aligns with this role.
Interview was in a casual setting. The interviewer made me feel welcomed from the intro. Deep dive into my resume but I was comfortable talking about my accomplishment and previous experience.

Communication skills with internal teams and clients
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Optum (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2022
Interview
I underwent a HR phone screen, one video call, and one on-site interview for an Associate Director position. I was supposed to hear back after two weeks. It has been three months since my last interaction with them. It was disappointing, because I found them very transparent and proactive up until then. HR screen was fine, very straightforward. For the video interview: I was not informed in advance that a second person would be joining. However, this interview was straightforward and they passed on some feedback to the HR person to share with me for the next round. I appreciated that.
I actually think there was a mismatch in the job description and the interview questions. It became apparent during the interviews that they wanted someone with a lot of senior experience in Six Sigma, but this requirement really was not highlighted in the job description. It seemed to me that they actually wanted someone with statistical background more than a process / Agile transformation background. I expected to get questions on line management, as this is a team management role, but I wasn't asked about that at all.
