      Continuous Improvement Interview

      28 Jan 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Oxford, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Oxford University Press (Oxford, England) in Jan 2019

      Interview

The interview lasted for about 30 minutes by phone, and i was asked briefly about my current role in my company, and how to adapt to oup required role with stated job description. The questions were general, so i answered according to the field i am working in. Unfortunately the recruitment manager was not familiar with my field, although he seemed satisfied by talking to me. I think they needed a continuous improvement who only knows IT, instead of soneone from the construction or manufacturing fields. As a personal point of view, a six sigma black belt can work in any continuous improvement field, as having the knowledge to do so. He could also adapt to job description related to any continuous improvement requirements. I propose to put a person who knows what the six sigma terminologies mean, as to better understand the six sigma person being interviewed.
