I applied in mid-August and received an offer in early October, so the process took approximately a month and a half. I attended two interviews - the first one consisted of competency-based questions and the second one consisted of role-specific questions (how you would go about doing X or Y). I was not asked to prepare any task, which was very welcome, as they are often excessively time consuming. Everyone who interviewed me was very professional and pleasant and I was allowed a good amount of time to ask questions. There was some degree of confusion regarding remote work, as all the US-based employees who interviewed me seemed to think it would be acceptable, but UK HR said 2 days a week in the Oxford office was mandatory. I ended up accepting an offer from another publisher who offered me remote work, but overall I had a very good experience and would definitely consider applying for jobs with OUP in the future.
