I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pay360 in Sept 2019
Interview
I was contacted by the Recruitment team of Capita for a role. Product knowledge wasn't required. Only sector skills and experience. The interview process kept changing as time went on. Initially the recruiter told me that the organisation wants to recruit quickly so it will be a 1 interview process. The interview date with the hiring manager was scheduled but as a video call. On the day video call wasn't possible and the interview was done by phone. I was then told by the hiring manager it wasn't a one interview process but another interview with presentation and competency based questions and then if I do well at that an "informal chat" with the MD to sign off. 1 month later the 2nd interview is eventually scheduled. On the day of the interview get a call to be told its cancelled as the manager has other priorities and can it be done the following day. I complied. On the day I travel to Capita offices in Manchester, pay a fortune for parking in the city centre. I carry out the interview again by video call. It went well and I was told I would be meeting the MD Stephen Ferry for an informal chat. Few weeks later, I travel to Capita Manchester offices, pay a fortune for parking for a video interview with the MD. Video didn't work so had a phone conversation. It wasn't an informal chat. It was a complete and total grilling for me to be told that I am NOT a sales person as I never earned commission in my previous jobs. The tone and questions was completely opposite to the hiring manager who was focused on my skills and experience rather than product knowledge. The MD was totally focused on money money money. I incurred nearly £95 in expenses with mileage and parking which I was told would be refunded and till today I have not received a penny despite chasing so many times. Very very disappointed with this organisation and the way interviewees are treated if they are unsuccessful. We simply don't exist to recruiters once we are no longer a commission to them and have a pound sign on our head. The MD Stephen Ferry was rude, demeaning and condescending. After complying with every single step of the process, changes to the interview process, having to drive last minute to Manchester, not meeting the managers in person, I cannot understand how a company can function like this.
