I expected a lot more of professionalism and transperacy since Paylocity prides itself on being a good company to work for. I applied for this role early January 2018 and immediately received a response from one of the recruiters. She scheduled a phone interview with me for the following day and we had a great conversation about my experience as well as what I could bring to the table. She then proceeded to discuss the next steps which would be an in person interview and she informed me that she will be in touch in two weeks. Patiently waiting and going into mid February, three weeks went by and I did not hear from her so I took it upon myself to reach out via email, respectfully. The recruiter responds saying the company is going through territory rearrangements and she will be in touch as soon as possible. Another whole month went by and going into the middle of march without a word from her. I reach out again to find out what's going on and the recruiter responds with the same repetitive story about territory rearrangements and she will be in touch as soon as possible. At this point, I start to wonder when these lies will stop, it is now May 2018 and I never heard from her again. If the leadership team was not interested in my resume, the recruiter should've respectfully declined my candidacy but instead she strung me along and gave me the impression that the company is just going through changes. I spoke with a colleague in my network who actually just started at Paylocity in my area as well and she said they are indeed hiring. The company also still has job openings on their website for the role, if there were these so called territory rearrangements then why is there still hiring and recruitment being done. Something is just not right about Paylocity and the fact that the recruiter couldn't be upfront and honest with me is absolutely dispiccable. I read other reviews from other interviewees and it seems like they had the exact same issue with recruitment for this company. Absolutely unethical and as a HCM company Paylocity should know better! After further reading so many reviews about how wicked and discriminatory this company is, I am definitely not surprised to have received this kind of treatment from their talent acquisition representatives.
