My company was calling people back to the office and I wasn’t game for that. I turned on my LinkedIn status and almost immediately Press Ganey reached out to me (remember this). I had a call with a Director and this person wanted to move forward to the next steps with me. There was an untimed coding exercise that I needed to complete before the final interview, and I was very upfront about the fact that it would be several days before I could even think about getting to it. They said “no problem, just understand that it could delay things”. So, almost a week and a half later, I began the exercise and probably spent 3-4 hours on it. I really enjoyed the exercise, and had a lot of fun with it. My solution was clear and concise, and it displayed a lot of current technology along with many design patterns. I showed it to some peers, and they agreed! That was over a month ago, and I never heard one word back from these people. Thankfully, I’ve landed with a Fortune 100 company and it’s a moot point. But,think twice before you engage with this unprofessional, small time firm. Odds are, they won’t be worth your time.

It is composed of the usual phone screens. The next step is a face to face where the candidate is evaluated for basic development skills and personality fit for the intended team.
