Long but worth it. They do scenarios as a group and then one on one interviews. The scenarios are the hardest part as you need to show you’re a team player without over talking
- Why do you want to work for an airline

A questionnaire with set of behavioural questions. Conducted through an AI platform, no real human interaction. Got plenty of time to prepare. It was a pretty good experience, as it's not too nervous compare to in-person interview.
- Tell us an important goal you have set for yourself. How do you ensure you reached it, and what steps did you take to overcome any obstacles?

Firstly online interview and SHL tests. Then phone interview. SHL tests delayed but they gave me extension. But I missed the phone interview again. Trying to contact them for another one
- How do you handle pressures

The first step of the recruiting process is online interview. You'll be asked 5 questions, and you'll need about 20-25 minutes to complete this. It can be done on any device with an internet connection. There’s no time limit, so if you need to stop and come back to it later you can.
- In Qantas, you might work under pressure, Describe the time you were in the same situation and what was your approach?

There are quite a few stages in the process. It starts with a questionnaire, then a psychometric test, then a phone screening interview and then an assessment centre. Asks for your references and then provides you an offer
- Tell me about a time where you had to manage a stressful situation

Had 3 interviews and ended up progressing to receiving an offer however it was all up about a 4 week process. Unfortunately the salary structure was not appealing enough to me, and as a big company the role was so specific - which I felt could get boring.
- How would you handle x scenario - i.e. dealing with a campaign change last minute

I was invited to complete online interview first , then invited to their next assessment day where you were required to complete group tasks to see how you interacted with your peers and then a solo interview. Heard back after a few weeks with the result of the assessment day.

good approach and it was great to have been interviewed by professionals from the team . Very prompt and informative as well towards the point,no bla bla’s . Provided each and every information correctly and was very clear conversation nothing hidden . And patient enough to listen carefully to the queries raised and explanations answered to each question.

Asks what’s one time where you had to disobey the rules. And if you speak any other languages besides English. They don’t check tattoos if you’ve covered them with clothes

Step1 - online application. Step2 - (few weeks later) - invited for a bot chat interview. 5 workplace behavioural questions, you have plenty of time to think about your answers and respond, you can also leave it and come back later, and even edit your answers. After that you get a personality insight (for you only, not the employer) Step3 - 3-4 weeks later got invited to the assessment day. I couldn’t attend that day so after a week or two for another invitation. I was thinking where there to go on not (cause again I had commitments), after thinking too long the were no more spaces available. I kept checking from time to time, a day before there was one spot freed up that I finally managed to confirm. On the day (about 50 people, check in, get a name sticker, someone will meet you and take you to the assessment area) Remember the assessors are all lovely, and they want everyone to succeed, so relax and have a bit of fun. - Quick info session about company values and salaries. - Group assessment: in a teams of 5 we had to explain aliens what Qantas is. We had a white sheet and markers to write. After that we were reminded aliens don’t speak English, how could we approach that. We then had to present it to our assessors. The again being split into bigger groups we were going to stations; - 1 on 2 interview, with more behavioural questions, you’ll leave your resume and a photo of yourself. - English writing test (very easy test even for non-native speakers). A text snap from the Flight Attendants manual about door operation, on the other side questions from the text. - Height measurement/arm reach test, certifying all the copies of your documents that you needed to bring with you. - Q&A session with a current Flight Attendant. Step4 - Submission of your documents to ASIC. Getting you water competency (swim assessment) done and the form signed. Sending through your certifications such as RSA, First Aid & CPR that’s valid for the next 6 month. Or if you don’t have it current, you got a bit of time to complete those. Step5 - closer to your start date (for me was 4 weeks from assessment day) you’ll be invited to attend and pay for medical assessment. From the just wait for a start date.
- Tell us about a stressful situation and how you and your team dealt with it.
