      Product Specialist Interview

      19 Jan 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Provo, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Qualtrics (Provo, UT) in Dec 2017

      Interview

The interview process goes as follows: 1. A basic phone interview with a recruiter from HR. Some basic behavioral questions and questions about your resume. 2. An online skills test where you take some free online courses offered by Stanford Online and take a test to see how well you learn. (Fairly easy.) 3. Two other interviews with four different managers, including your potential supervisor. Why this was a negative experience overall: I told the HR rep assigned to me fairly early on in the process that my "Plan B" job was in another state and asked her when the latest I would hear back about the final decision made regarding an offer. She told me, and I quote, "In the worst-case scenario, Jan 2." Long story short, they didn't get back to me by then, even though I had delayed my potential starting date with my Plan B by an entire week (a $1000 decision) based on their assurance I would be notified before January 2. After calling them, I was told that due to the holiday break a meeting was never held that was supposed to be and I wouldn't hear back about a decision until the 8th of January at the earliest. Because I had planned my entire life around the Jan. 3 deadline that they provided and waiting any longer would put my ability to accept Plan B job in jeopardy , I withdrew my candidacy and took Plan B job (only to be informed by Qualtrics more than a week later via email that I wouldn't have been chosen anyway). Bottom line, Qualtrics not sticking to the timeline they gave me cost $1000.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Qualtrics

      Interview

Very straightforward typical straight forward behavioral questions “tell me a time you solved a difficult problem” etc. She asked a lot of follow up questions to stories so make sure you go detailed. Didn’t have a ton of questions prepped so again, it’s beneficial go in detail.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Qualtrics (Tokyo) in Oct 2025

      Interview

There are three interviews in total. All the interviewers were friendly, open minded and easy to talk with. They asked about the difficult thing I needed to deal with and how I overcame it, how I handled the situation when I couldn't handle it the way I usually do, and what was the difficult experience in my past customer experience and how I successfully handled it.
