I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quest Diagnostics (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
I received a call asking if I was still interested in the position because I had applied for it over a months previous to the call, the I set up a meeting with the supervisor, the interview was straight forward, not difficult at all, direct to the point and all about your knowledge on tubes and needles.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
when do you draw a plain red tube?
What at the additives on the blue top?
Very good. Straight forward and professional, did not waste time and had good communication throughout the whole process. Looking forward to actually getting started and working there soon. I have nothing negative to say.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Quest Diagnostics
Interview
Had first and second interview - seemed like everything went well, was told that they would be in touch. Never heard anything back, sent a follow up email - no response. Was completely ghosted.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in Mar 2025
Interview
Attended an open house at one of their branch locations in my local community. As soon as I arrived I was told there were no openings in that branch and the only openings were quite a distance away. I felt misled. The only reason I went to the open house was because that office was within a reasonable driving distance. They should have specified where they were recruiting for. I met with two managers who told me to apply online. What a waste of time it was to go to the open house.

Question 1
Order of draw. What specific tube colors were used for which tests. Why I wanted the job. What interested me about Quest Labs specifically.
