      Area Recruiter Interview

      26 Jan 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Raising Cane's in Jan 2024

      Interview

Extremely disappointed in the unprofessional nature of my interview, which lasted an entire 11 minutes. There were connection issues with the recruiter during the video interview, and they were visably annoyed with the situation despite me checking to make sure my pc was set up correctly ahead of time. Recruiter was void of personality, judgemental when asking the few questions they did of me and definately did not leave a good impression that this was a good place to want to work. Ended the interview by telling me they can teach anyone to fry chicken, but they can't teach someone to be a good person (as if a candidate would say "Gee, I'm not a good person, we should end this interview now"). Obviously the technical issue with the interview in the beginning set the entire tone. I was told it was a 24 hour turnaround, but 3 days later I got the auto generated AI rejection letter (which was still formatted from AI, and the fonts didn't match). Can't say I was disappointed to receive it and glad to be moving on from that experience. Don't call a prospective candidate if you don't think they are a good initial fit in the first place, spend minimal time getting to know them and have AI brush them off.

      Area Recruiter Interview

      16 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Raising Cane's (Chicago, IL) in May 2022

      Interview

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. We discussed the position and salary. All was pretty good until I met with the market leaders. They described that there was quite a bit of travel. It was described as not often, but majority of the interview was structured around traveling to different locations giving feedback and driving past locations to ensure the outside signage was correct. The position was not as described by the recruiter in the home office. I’m currently 100% remote, so regular travel hours away from home is not something I would be interested in. The second interview, the only question I was asked was, “Since we last met, what questions do you have?” It felt like a waste of time especially having to travel 2.5 hours round-trip. Wasn’t my cup of tea. Thankfully, the process was pretty quick and it didn’t drag out too long.
