I was called to come down to Residence Inn to interview for a position I had applied for about two weeks prior. Due to other obligations, I ended up interviewing the same day they called me. From the moment they called me, there were lots and lots of questions asked, particularly about why I wanted to work in a hotel environment, how I would handle situations involving guests, my availability, my plans for the next few years, and so on. They informed me I had passed Round 1 and if selected, the next rounds of the interview would be conducted by someone higher up the Marriott chain. However, I haven't heard from anyone since and the job posting has since been removed from the job boards. Presumably I didn't get the job....
