I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Revature
Interview
I first took a 1 hr analytical assessment quiz (35 questions, logic puzzles). After passing that, a recruiter reached out to me to set up an interview. The interview is online and took about 30 minutes. The interviewer asked mainly analytical questions, 1 coding question, 1 behavioral question, and simple MS Word and Excel questions. The next day, I heard back with an offer.
I just want to note that I was on the fence about accepting the offer but decided not to for many reasons:
1. The pay you get during training is $8.25/hr and although they claim housing is provided, you have to pay $110/week for it. (Though this price does include all utilities and wifi) The recruiter didn't tell me this and I only found out while I was reading the contract.
2. You don't know which location will be open by the time you finish training. Your starting salary will depend on how costly the living expenses are in that location. By the third year, you're guranteed a salary of $75000. If you have good grades and a good resume, you can find others jobs paying this or close to this value as a starting salary.
3. The 2 year contract starts after you start working at a job site, which you will have to start preparing and interview for towards the end of training. So there will be a period of time when you're waiting to get an offer. (BTW if you think of violating the 2 year contract, you'll have to pay all this money including the training costs back)
4. They extend an offer to almost anyone. Basically if you pass the analytical assessment, you have the job. So don't feel too special if you get an offer.
5. The reimbursement for travel and relocation is limited, not fully covered.
Don't get me wrong, this place isn't a scam and these are just my own opinions. But if you can find something better then I'd recommend you to do that. Hope this helps. Good luck.
