      Application Developer Interview

      22 Apr 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dayton, OH
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Dayton, OH) in Mar 2013

      Interview

Before even being able to speak to a person, I was sent a link to take a very detailed and thorough series of online assessments. It's pretty much just like what everyone else on here has described (personality, IQ, current events, etc.). The next day, I got a call back to interview and had a series of interviews with the same HR person. I had to go and do another assessment online, this one an ethics assessment. I also had to fill out a long-form application which is also exactly as described by people on here. I thought some of the questions were weird at the time and these are the ones that some people are describing as illegal questions (information on parents, spouse, in-laws, and all their occupations and educational backgrounds). It seems like they probably are, in hindsight. I was supposed to have a Skype interview with the head of the department, but we were both experiencing technical issues, so it ended up being another phone interview. It went really well until the end when he saw my asking salary and indicated it was a little high and that they don't like taking risks, which makes no sense because, assuming an offer, they are asking you to take a risk by leaving your current position for one with their company. Anyway, they flew me to Dayton, OH and I spent the day there. I had to retake the IQ and personality assessments to make it "fair", in their words. Then, I was taken on a tour and taken to lunch with 2 more HR people who were completely uninvolved with my recruitment. It was also kind of weird that the lunch was in their building cafeteria as I was expecting them to do more to impress me than that. Then, I had a short interview with the Vice President of the department and that went well. The last thing they had me do was to take a drug test. They ended up offering me $500 less than what I make at my current position and no vacation days in my first year at the company. I was planing on taking it because I was very desperate to relocate back to Ohio (which is where I am from), but ended up finding something else that actually offers a competitive salary and benefits. I had some major reservations, especially after reading some of the reviews on here!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Surprisingly, they asked no questions about programming or any of my development knowledge/experience. Nothing was too difficult. They are very high on raw, natural abilities as exemplified by all the assessments they make you take.

      9 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2018

      Interview

They sent a test link, it took my 2 hours. I m sure I passed this exam with at least 90, then HR called me they told me they are interesting with me and last question was " do you have another offer?" I told her I have 2 more. Then she sent me I m not selected for this position. It showed me that this company is very weak and how they can not compete against other companies.

      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Apr 2015

      Interview

First you take a personality test and ethic questionaire which they sent to you in an email. Then you schedule a date to come in to take the aptitude test. On the day of my aptitude test, I was also interviewed through skype by a recruiter, and a face to face with a senior manager. Then I came back 3 days later for a face to face interview with the VP of the department. I was not prepared for these interviews because I was not told I would be interview on the same day as my test.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Mar 2015

      Interview

Applied online. Received appointment scheduling request the same week (time slots given were 2 weeks from the date I received request) and I scheduled the appointment. Once I scheduled the appointment, received email to complete three items - an Application, Personality Assessment, and Ethics Assessment. Those have to completed prior to appointment time. Appointment was scheduled for an Aptitude Test

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The Aptitude Test - The logic and aptitude test contains three timed sections - alphabet sequence, spatial relationship & mathematics. All questions are multiple choice. If you are lucky, you will see the same questions as in the sample test itself. I didn't do well in the test. Reason I could think of - I didn't take a timed sample test and somehow I had it in mind algebra is the only topic to be covered in mathematics which was not true. Please ask for extra scribbling paper before you enter for text. One paper was not enough for me and there was no one inside the room to provide you extra papers.
