      Full Stack .NET Engineer Interview

      21 Mar 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rockstar Games (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2017

      Interview

I'm going to preface this by saying that you should definitely avoid Rockstar Games. Don't even think about it, find some other place. Any company that doesn't respond with a yes/no after 6 hours of interviewing is NOT professional or courteous. It is a direct reflection of their internal processes and their company culture. They don't value other people's time. I applied online and was contacted by the recruiter. Afterwards there was a 1 hour online technical assessment. After passing that, you are invited on-site. There were around 4-6 interviews with only 1 in-person and the rest were video conference. The on-site felt very disorganized as they would just pull in interviews as they saw fit. The on-site took around 3.5 hours to complete. At the end of it all, I didn't receive a yes/no from the recruiter. Basically, they ghost you even after prodding the recruiter for a response. I think that is very representative of the other reviews I've seen here and their internal processes (or lack there of). I usually wouldn't say anything bad, but if you can't even muster up an automated rejection email after a candidate spent 6 - 8 hours (interview + travel time) interviewing with you, then you are not professional at all.
