I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Shawnee, OK) in Mar 2013
Interview
I had two interviews. One was by a guy from Stillwater, it was kind of awkward just because I didn't know what to expect, I hadn't had a job before this. The second interview was by the store manager, it wasn't bad at all. I was immediately comfortable with him. It didn't take very long, either.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a situation where the customer has an issue with their purchase?
The Ross cashier interview is brief and straightforward, focusing on customer service, handling busy environments, basic math, availability, and reliability. It often includes situational questions and may be followed by a quick hiring decision.
They ask basic work experience questions, basic problem solving questions, they confirm your availability and let you know you’ll receive an email/ phone call with start date and so on
Thorough and very detailed. It's a particular answer they are looking for. And you will know through the interview if you are doing well. And there are quite a few questions.
