I applied online. I interviewed at Ross Stores (San Leandro, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Barely interviewed me; had me watch training videos and then immediately put me on the sales floor for an 8-hour shift on the same day. The interview was in person and was scheduled quite quickly after initial application date.

Question 1
What do you know about Ross as a department chain?
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
