The recruiter who sent my follow-up email lacked the capacity to name the correct position that I interviewed for and their HR rep randomly sent me the breakdown of their PTO and benefits package…maybe that should be done after an offer is made, not when scheduling an interview? Competence all around from a team full of winners at a company whose business totally isn’t failing (seriously – check out their current valuation vs. what it used to be).
Process consisted of three back-to-back interviews with buyer, divisional manager, and associate buyer. Super unprofessional from the get-go – while I understand that the WFH situation is casual, put something on over your tank top. Call me old fashioned, but I don’t want to see your bra straps while I’m on a job interview. Buyer also spoke about how hard it is getting brands to work with them, as most designers don’t want to diminish their name by having it associated with an off-price retailer.
The final person I spoke with talked in detail about how her department was ready to be shut down before Covid hit, but home related categories have picked up at the moment. Judging by the people I interviewed with, this prior plan will come to fruition shortly after their temporary Covid boost.
