      Field Engineer Interview

      21 Oct 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Riyadh
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Riyadh) in Oct 2017

      Interview

      1. Phone Interview with the recruiting manager 2. 3 day group program followed by an exit interview Told that the job is no longer available. Then applied a year later: 1. Interview 1 with the recruiting manager 2. Interview 2 with the segment manager 3. Interview 3 with 3 employees The phone interview was not bad. Just a few behavioral questions like: Tell me about yourself, tell me about a challenge you faced, how do you know about the company, what challenges do you think you will face as a field engineer For the 3 day program, I was put in a group of 3 to work on a presentation about a designated department. Took all the information from the company website. There were a few team building exercises and then we were taken to a tour in one of the workshops. The final exit interview was quick, they just wanted to make sure that you fully understand what you're signing up for. A year later: First interview was simple, just a meeting rather than an interview. Second interview questions were all about why would you want to work in the field. Why would you choose a challenging job in harsh environments over a desk job? Why do you want to work for Schlumberger? The third interview questions are mentioned below:
