I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Scotiabank
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. My interviewer basically wanted to know more about my personality. Scotiabank prides themselves in having excellent customer service and so they wanted to hire someone who seems pleasant, patient etc. The job description was explained and I learned that in addition to handling regular customer transactions I would be required to advertise some of the bank's products. I was then taken to the branch manager and he asked his own personal questions, again I assumed to find out more about my personality. That evening when I got home I was told I was wanted for the position- which I mentioned would only be temporary as I needed to begin my degree. This happened in the middle of the week and by Monday of the next week, I began my training.

Easy - 1 interview with bank manager about an hour long. More interested in you and your hobbies and situational questions. It’s an entry level job so there’s opportunity to showcase who you are vs all the work you’ve done.
