I applied online through a job site. The next day I received an email from the district manager asking me to apply on their site. I also received a call from another store manager wanting to set up the interview and discuss the position. She told me they were all about employee development and that it was a fun environment. She didn't ask me any questions, just wanted to be sure I understood what they were looking for. She told me it was for a new location and they were looking to hire quickly. Two days later, I met with the district manager at a neighboring location as the position was for a new location yet to open. I was 10 minutes early, she was 15 minutes late. While I waited, the associates were extremely nice and signed me up for their insider club and showed me new product. I wore all black (their dress code) and did a nice makeup job. It is a busy mall, so we went halfway around the mall to a coffee shop. She told me it was a behavioral interview and to be as specific as possible. All of her questions related to employee issues, nothing on experience, job history, customer service, skills, etc. I answered her question, she moved on to the next one with no dialogue. At the end, she abruptly asked if I had any questions. She had told me nothing about the job, company, etc. When I asked questions about the position, she kind of acted like she didn't want to tell me anything. She answered me quickly with no discussion. At the end of the interview, she asked for my resume, gave me her card and said I would definitely hear back. I emailed her that night to thank her for her time. I never heard back.
