Originally applied online, but by the time I hard back from them requesting an interview I had already accepted another offer. Some time later they contacted me again and suggested a coffee meeting with the cofounder.
Met with cofounder for coffee which then turned into longer technical interview (at least a couple hours total), which I was not expecting on that day. Was asked some relevant iOS questions and then some completely irrelevant “brain teasers,” as others have noted.
After some scheduling delays, was asked to come back for a loop with four other people for about two hours. Was quickly told by someone else at the start of the interview that the original position I had applied for had already been filled (lead), but a non-lead position was still available. Wasn’t given the opportunity to discuss this any further, however the person was supposed to talk with me after the interview.
Talked with four people in various roles (design, backend, tech management). At the end of the interview nobody was available to discuss the position or further steps in the interview process.
Did not hear anything for two weeks, so I followed up via email and never heard from anyone again.
Don’t expect your company to succeed and grow by not even being professional enough to follow up with candidates who spend several hours of their time to come in to talk with you.
