Software Engineer - Build & Release Interview

      30 May 2017
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2017

      Interview

I reached out to the recruiter on linkedin since I have him as connection for an opening in a different company a few years ago. He called me for a short phone call to get in touch base and collect some basic info then forwarded my resume to the hiring manager and started the process with a online coding challenge, I was given a week to completed and then waited about a week to hear back from them that they would like to proceed with a phone screening with the director to discuss about my solution, then they invited me for onsite interview. I met about 5-6 people during the onsite interview and it went pretty smooth, people were generally very nice and super engaged to their job. I also got enough time to ask a lot of questions.
