      Initially I interviewed with Slack, but ultimately stopped mid-way through the process due to receiving another offer elsewhere. Was wished well, and all was on good terms. 2+ years later (about 1 month ago) I applied again for the same role, now having another 2+ years experience. Within a day or so of applying, I receive an automated/template rejection email. I'm a little shocked to be completely honest, as my skills & qualifications were a perfect match for the job description 2+ years ago (and based on the job outline, they are still as such). The interviews had also gone really well with the recruiter, and responses to the task were on-point. I'm a stickler for good CS, and it's a passion for me - not just a career. It's a bummer, because I really do want to work for Slack, it's a great company, but unfortunately I can no longer make it past their AI system since being acquired by Salesforce I guess. One thing I did notice is that their education drop-down in the form you need to fill out (with all resume elements...) has a minimum option of bachelors degree, and doesn't allow you to input college diploma as an option. This is hugely discriminatory and classist, as not everyone can afford the money and time required to obtain a degree, but this doesn't always mean that they're not experienced for the role, nor does it mean they lack an education or the drive to be successful and thoughtful in the role. Very sad to see this, especially since I know myself that I'm great at what I do and would have been an excellent addition to the team.

      2) Second time applying post-salesforce acquisition: auto-fields to fill out info that's already on the resume, followed by an education drop-down menu that doesn't allow you to choose "diploma" or "college"; the "lowest education" that they'll allow you to select is a bachelors degree level.

      The interview process was lengthy but very thorough. Everyone was very engaging and made it feel at ease. 1. Written Assignment (pre screening) - 5 situation/behavioral questions 2. Screening call with the Recruiter - Basic personal questions/requirements 3. 2nd call with the Recruiter - More detailed questions about the position/ what I am looking for in a job/company 4. Zoom meeting with the Manager - History/ Experiences / Expectations 5. Zoom meeting with 2 existing Team members - History/ General questions / Situation based questions 6. Wrap-up with the Manager and then ending with the Recruiter - Last questions/ expectations The recruiter has very helpful in explaining each step and providing assistance with what to expect next. Very impressed!

      The interview process was very straight-forward. I first talked with HR over Zoom for a phone screening. Next was a written assessment and a 1-1 interview with the hiring manager. Next was a panel interview with another manager and team mate. My HR rep called me beforehand to help me prepare with different questions that they might ask.

      Interview

      Straightforward interviews. Multiple rounds including a written portion project and interviews with a few different people. The interviewers asked normal questions. No trick questions. The process was very transparent and clear.
