I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Social Security Administration (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2011
Interview
A group of managers conduct behavior based interviews. They're not too creative. You can google behavior based interviews to find the questions to prepare. As long as you give examples of how you worked well in a team, can take constructive criticism, ignore negative criticism and are able to research things you'll be fine.

Interview
All questions presented to the interviewee by a panel of interviewers. The questions were thorough but were not job related. There was no opportunity as the interviewee to ask questions about the job itself. I expected this to be a screening interview and was surprised to find out that it was the only interview in the process.
