Interview
Like the other reviews pointed out, the process consists of four rounds with a very time-consuming take-home assignment. You start with HR call, where they present you the company and benefits and with almost zero info about the actual role and duties. They present Socialpoint as a company that values employees, transparent and promise feedback at the end of the process. Second round is assignment. Straight away, without much info about the role, without talking to hiring manager or anyone related to the role. You get huge workload, unreasonable demands, and have to spend a couple of days to get it done. In the next round, you finally get to talk to the hiring manager, who asks you some more technical questions and to whom you present the task. After this round, I received an automatic rejection email with zero trace of promised feedback and how they went with another candidate that fit demands better. I found it strange they went with another candidate that fit demands better but reposted the job a day later. Overall, as other reviewers had similar experience, we can conclude Socialpoint is another company in line, that pretends to care and have transparency about the hiring process just to give you automatic rejection email after you spent a significant amount of time in their process
Typical process, but quite a long one: First, a screening with HR. The second round is a test and the third and fourth are interviewing with the manager and interviewing with team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They don't ask a lot about you, they are very focused on selling how amazing the perks of working there are. Basically they just asked "tell me about yourself" The task they send is VERY long to do and they require proofs of everything in the process. The normal thing is that if you are doing a long assignment, you will have the chance to defend your choices with the manager. Incredibly, they cut the process short and they did not give any further explanation, and gave a "reason" that did not make any sense. I send an email to the HR point of contact asking for feedback and a minimum explanation after having dedicated hours to the assignment, but I just found silence on the other side.
