Interview
Interviewed for Global Markets 2025 Summer Internship. Applied late October, and was invited to complete online assessments the next day. About a week later I completed the HireVue and was invited to their Virtual Engagement Session that happened the week after. The session was quite long ~3 hours and was a good opportunity to learn a lot about the firm and was well ran. It included a group exercise with 4/5 other candidates which was pretty standard in its approach. I think there were about 60 candidates who reached the group interview stage based off the size of the call. 5 days after the Group Intw/Information session I was invited to the final round interview (now Mid Nov) and asked to give availability of times I could interview. I completed the Interview at the end of November. It was highlighted that the final interview was only centred on competency which was unusual for a final round. I was asked slightly left field questions such as "How do you show your creativity" and a few other quite open ended ones. Overall easy enough interview experience as not much technical knowledge was ever asked. They were very open in the information session about the timelines and hiring process so when I didn't hear back by xmas I knew I didn't make it, and got the confirmation email that I had been rejected in early 2025. I would just say keep an open mind in regards to the interview questions and be prepared for questions that seem quite arbitrary/unapplied.
