I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Southall (Franklin, TN) in Jul 2025
Interview
Huge lack of communication throughout the entire process.
HR reached out to set up initial interview. I met with the new GM and thought it went really well. Next step would be meeting with Head of outlets, I was told. But no one reached out to set it up until I contacted HR again. Happy to set that up for you, I was told. Again, another great meeting and then I never heard from anyone again. I had followed up with a nice thank you email to both of them asking kindly to know either way if they were moving forward or not with me. No response. After several weeks I assumed they were passing so I contacted HR one last time. Only then did I get the email: We are not moving forward.
The job is still posted, along with virtually every other position available on their site. Looks like about 40 open roles. Why bother interviewing people if they don't actually need to fill any of the positions?? I was really interested in working there, had the qualifications, and interviewed well.
If someone decides to interview there, be sure to ask if they are actually looking to fill the role first!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's my favorite drink I like to make. (It's a pretty standard interview question for a bartending role.)
