I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Las Vegas, NV) in Apr 2016
Interview
We were asked to come in at 7:00AM and I showed up at 6:20AM and about 40 people were already gathered in front of the conference room. We waited around until 7:00AM and we were asked to get in line and start pulling out our IDs and our resume. I read here on glassdoor that we would be forming a line as soon as we got there so to make sure to arrive early however it didn't really matter if you arrived early or not. I flew from out of town to Las Vegas so I arrived the day before and I know that anyone in the area the day prior were able to pre register so that may be something you want to consider if you are coming into the interview from out of town. Make sure you make copies of everything INCLUDING your invitation AND invitation email. Bring copies of everything! Anyway so once they went through to make sure everyone had their paperwork we were split up into smaller lines to receive our number for the day and our name tags with a color and our number. Once you get your name tag your asked to walk into a large conference room where they are playing the song Happy. once your in just find a seat and they play about an hour and a half video and briefly tell you about Spirit and what the job entails. Once this part is over we are asked to meet in desperate conference rooms depending on our color. Then we were asked go in order table by table and get up in front of everyone, say your name then your number in that order and pull a question out of a fishbowl answer the question and then put the question back and take a seat. I noticed a few people that got up here really nervous or took too long to answer the question because they were thinking too hard about it that did not make it to the next part. Really be confident, relaxed, smile and most importantly be yourself! A few people tried to answer their question by talking about how prepared they were for this interview or how much this job meant to them. Please don't take this approach! Everyone wants this job and everyone has prepared so steer clear of mentioning anything like that for your question. After everyone went, we were told we would be taking a 15 minute break.Once the 15 minutes were over, they called out numbers. About half the room cleared out and whoevers number was called did not make it. After this we were told to take an hour lunch and be back by noon. After lunch everyone that made it past round 1 met back in the original conference room.We were then asked to fill out our ten year work experiences, and you want to make sure you fill it out in detail. They are looking for gaps and be sure to ready to explain these if they ask. I waited in this room for almost two hours to be called back for my 2 in 1 interview. I was taken back and waited in another line. I was called in to my interview where I was asked to lift a 40 lb. luggage over my head. They asked me to explain one time a customer had been difficult and how I handled it, if I have ever had a disagreement with a coworker and how I handled it and how I had found out about the position. Then I was asked to read off the flight attendant speech they do before flights. Then I was handed a Spirit menu and asked to sell them something off the menu. After this make sure you ask questions when you're given the chance to.They called me a few and another girl a few minutes later and walked us back and told us we made it! After this they take you to fill out paper work and drug test and take your Badge picture.
