I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at StarCompliance in Feb 2026
Interview
It was a long interview process, 5 rounds but I got to get a really good feel for what the role would have been and for the team. Everyone on the team was sharp and helpful throughout the process.
I applied online. I interviewed at StarCompliance in Mar 2026
Interview
Overall, the interview process felt inconsistent and not well-structured.
In earlier rounds, the conversations felt somewhat transactional and disengaged, which made it difficult to get a clear sense of the team or role. While the interviewers were professional, the experience did not feel particularly welcoming or collaborative.
The technical interview was the most challenging part of the process due to unclear and loosely defined questions. Even after asking for clarification, it remained difficult to understand what was being asked, which made it hard to effectively demonstrate my knowledge.
Additionally, the tone during parts of the technical interview came across as dismissive rather than supportive.
Post-interview communication was also impersonal, including incorrect use of my name, which reinforced the overall lack of attention to detail.
Overall, I would recommend improving the structure and clarity of the interview process, as well as fostering a more engaging and candidate-friendly experience.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at StarCompliance in Sept 2025
Interview
I applied at the recommendation of a StarCompliance employee who found me on LinkedIn. The process went quickly at first, and I was pleased with the speed and professionalism with which everything was handled.
Then I had my third interview. The interviewer decided that I would not be able to keep up with the demands of the job and I was not able to dissuade her of this. The fourth interview was for a separate department; it was supposed to be with two people but one kept declining. This time it took close to a week to get a response from the recruiter, and only after I had reached out.
All in all, I don’t know what to make of this company. Both jobs were an excellent skills match and the people seemed great. My feedback was that I “didn’t have enough sector knowledge”, which certainly could be true, but as someone who is willing and able to learn new things quickly, it felt like a lame excuse. Also, essentially being ghosted was not particularly impressive, either.
