I had an intro interview with their recruiter, which was great, and that lead to scheduling a second round, which was supposed to be three interviews. Instead only one interview was scheduled, with a different topic than was described. I thought that interview went well, but I didn't hear anything about it for a week and a half. I had written it off as being ghosted (as other interviewees had noted). When I was notified that I was moved to the 3rd round, which would consist of the 3 interviews originally described for the 2nd round. I scheduled those interviews, and the day before the first I was emailed by the recruiter and told that upon discussion with the interview "team" (her and one other engineer?) I was better suited for a different position with a lower pay, and I was to respond to this ASAP. I responded, indicating that I was not interested in the other position, but received no response. The scheduled interviews remained on my calendar and I received no cancelation notice. Just before the meeting I attempted to connect to the Zoom, in hopes that I could convince this interviewer of my qualifications, but it was invalid. I replied to the coordinator with the situation and I was told that I should have received an email about it yesterday.
