I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY) in Jun 2019
Interview
I originally applied for a position not related to teaching, someone from SA reaches out and recommended I submit my application for a teaching position. I remember thinking, nice, an actual human being. I completed the application and received a hirevue link to complete a virtual interview. Clicked on link and nothing, didn’t work. Reached out to 2 employees that I was in contact with and no response. It’s been a week now. This is unacceptable professional behavior coming from a talent acquisition team.
A lot about willingness to discipline, how you grew up, adaptability, etc. Also stuff on what my educational experience was like (strict or not strict)? Also mock roleplay about disciplining a kid

I received a random message on LinkedIn from a recruiter. We had a call where they went over interview prep and scheduled the meeting. They asked pretty standard questions. Teaching experience, why teaching and why this specific academy, a time where you dealt with a difficult situation or person, how do you take constructive criticism then a simulated situation where they give you a scenario about ‘difficult’ parents and kids.
I applied online. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (Bronx, NY) in May 2026
Interview
The interview is done very quickly, and the questions are to the point. The interviewee should try to answer in a short, precise manner. Confidence is essential for the interview.
