      Inside Sales Representative Interview

      21 Mar 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Waterloo, ON
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Waterloo, ON) in Dec 2016

      Interview

They begin with a phone interview which is pretty relaxed and then will do an in person interview with a few managers. They ask a lot of specific “tell me about a time when..” questions throughout the process, and don’t try to have an open dialogue

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Tolleson, AZ) in Jan 2016

      Interview

You are initially contacted by a Talent Acquisition representative. This individual is responsible for scheduling your interview and arranging for applicable drug testing, etc. Initially, I was screened by the Talent Acquisition rep. Then, I was scheduled for a face to face interview. Once an offer for employment was presented, the Talent Acquisition rep arranged for a background check and a drug test. Once these items were completed and I was cleared, a member of the local HR reached out to me for further instruction.

      Lewisville, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Sysco (Lewisville, TX) in May 2012

      Interview

Interview #1. I went dressed wearing a black suit and white dress shirt. Going into the interview I was very relaxed and we spoke of the company, position and what it entailed. I was offered water and coffee. I was asked very simple questions such as how did you hear about us, what are your hobbies, why are you the perfect candidate for this position, and if I was interested in an outside sales position. I recommend going in very well dressed and groomed with a folder and resume even though they didn't ask for mine it's best to be prepared. I was asked if I had any questions for them. 1. I would ask how many people they are hiring for the position, be prepared the defend your past work experience and the job description can be relatable. 2. Why they love their job. 3. Is there room for growth. etc. Interview #2. Well dressed and groomed. New outfit and still brought my resume. Talked more about position. Being offered an outside sales position. Was very honest about my life and interview ran for 2 hours. Talked about sales.
