I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sysco in Jun 2010
Interview
District Sales Manager called to set up interview a week after I sent in my resume. Filled out fairly long application when I first got to interview, Interviewed with the DSM and the Regional Sales Manager. They were both extremely nice and asked a lot of basic interview questions. The actual interview took about 45 minutes and then they had me complete a long personality test. Definitely plan on being at the interview for a total of almost 3 hours. The people definitely seem easy going but also hold their employees to a high standard which should be expected. Seems like a great company to work for.
It went well. Nice people. They were interested in my interest in food sales and my desire to work hard. I met with three different people. They seem to want to build a strong team.
The interview process was very long and fairly disorganized. First, there is a phone interview, then I was invited to a hotel for in-person interviews. After a few weeks, I was asked to come to the ofiices for another interview.
I was interviewed by 3 different people in a round robin process. Each interview was private and then I would move on the next person for the interview. All interviewers were polite and nice.
