      Interview

All those thinking of interviewing for this company no matter the position should read this beforehand. Applied for a position listed for Virginia even though there was no "must reside or relocate to Virginia" explicitly stated in job posting. Only location specific was to live near a major airport, which I did. Had 15 minute phone chat with HR rep and was asked where I resided and closest airport which I disclosed (i.e. NOT VIRGINIA). The rep then knowingly passed me on to the to the 2nd panel style interview without any word of having to be location specific or that I would be expected to relocate. I was instructed that I would need to create and present a 20 minute (Yes 20 minute) presentation on any topic to the panel. Came prepared after hours of work and preparation for the presentation/interview which was on Teams. Was the first person in the chat (right on time as scheduled) with the other 5 interviewers slowly trickling in over the next 10 minutes(off to a great start). Started giving my presentation and after around the 15 minute mark was interrupted and said that I would need to wrap it up to have time for the actual interview questions. Why in gods name would you have me create and present a 20 MINUTE presentation if you weren't prepared for it to last 20 MINUTES? Guess they didn't account for all the interviewer's ability to be conveniently late to the meeting... Was asked some behavioral questions but seemed to focus more on technical questions before near almost the end of the interview was asked where I lived. Finally discussed that the position was location specific and I would be required to relocate. After letting them know I was not open to that, it was just kind of like "Oh, well sorry". Complete and utter waste of time because of their inability to communicate with each other and can only imagine the dumpster fire of a job it would be working for these goofs. Chalked it up to being a HUGE bullet dodged and will stay as far away from this company as possible going forward, and I advise anyone else to do the same. Accepted an offer at one of their more competent competitors the very next day. Guess everything happens for a reason.
