It was a very friendly process when I had the opportunity to know the team, the main responsibilities of the job and growth opportunities after the 6-month contract. It is a great opportunity for newcomers to get the experience in that first job in Canada

Interview
First phone screen, then met with HR for another screening interview - this was more detailed. Salary bracket was discussed and some negotiation took place. Then I had two follow up interviews with managers in the department. These interviews were more conversational than technical, though previous experience in the role helped and was elaborated upon. They seemed not to be 100% sure what they wanted to find in their new hire.

Interview
Contractors come in through agencies. If you make the initial cut, resume goes to Hiring Manager. Always 1 interview only. Usual attendees are the Project Manager you will support along with some other Manager in that area or Project Team. Emphasis is on past experience & how you handle differs Tuesday of personalities or situations.
