Initially I was sent a canned email saying they didn't select me for an interview. A week later a recruiter called me saying they were very interested and wanted to set up an interview.
I went through 3 separate rounds of interviews with multiple senior IT managers at TE. At every stage they told me this was a management position and asked me leadership questions.
Ken Verges called me a week after all the interviews were complete and said they wouldn't be moving forward. Which is fine. But the reasons he gave are where I could tell Ken was straight up LIEING to me.
He said I make too much even though I had told TE from the very beginning I was comfortable with the posted hiring salary range
He said the role was an individual contributor and didn't manage anyone. (The literal title of the job is a Manager and in the job description is says in black and white that it manages a global team)
He said there were timezone concerns that I was not in the correct timezone (I knew they were on East Coast and was fine working East Coast hours). Then he went on and on about how they are opening the offices back up. WHAT? Ken, the title of the job position literally had REMOTE in it. The job posting said it is a REMOTE role!
It seems Ken was just lying to my face. I will avoid in the future. This isn't just sour grapes about not getting an offer. If they didn't want to hire me I'm totally fine with that (I actually had another offering pending, but I gave TE an opportunity to make an offer or pass).
I didn't appreciate the dishonesty from their recruiting team.
