I started the process through a third party HR, so I had a screen interview followed by an interview with 2 team members, a panel with 7 people, an interview with another 2 members and an in-person interview with the manager and one team member. Although the position was my dream job, great salary and benefits, I couldn't accept it. The manager was sexist, racist, and extremely rude during the process. Everyone says amazing things about Telus and I was beyond excited with the opportunity, but the manager just made the whole experience awful. He would constantly make fun of the way I speak, said he didn't understand a word, ask others to explain what I was saying, gave me a manual of how to talk to him and made me practice his manual. After that he kept "scoring" my answers. He also told me about people that talks like me that he is firing and so on. I left the last day of the process (after 2 months) crying, humiliated and exhausted. I would never thought he would make me an offer. I accepted the offer, but heard from an internal source that he wasn't a great manager, so I refused as my instincts were already telling me to do so. His team came after me asking me to reconsider, I had another 3 online meetings with different members, so I did reconsidered, accepted the offer and he ghosted me for 3 weeks, when I finally gave up and refused the offer again. It was a complete nightmare, but I guess it was an exception.
