I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (London, England) in Apr 2020
Interview
Very unprofessional! The recruiter called me out of the blue on Saturday night, she asked me if i can attend interview on Sunday! Then when i attended the interview, she had no clue what she’s talking about! She kept saying “ yea yea this what we are looking for”
Then after the 10 min interview she told me she will share my cv with hiring manager.
She then arranged the interview with someone, she didn’t share his name or what he does, the job description was basic so i had no idea what they’re talking about!!
The manager had a one hour interview with me, it was very casual, he didnt ask technical questions.
They disappeared for 2 weeks, kept chasing them, no answer! In 3rd week I received an rejection email!
I didnt even know the recruiter’s name because it was written in Chinese!
I wouldnt work for that company which handles interviews in such an unprofessional way! Tells you a lot about then!
They arranged 3 rounds of interviews with all team members, not the hiring manager. I felt like it was not the typical process because one of them said they were changing the direction of this role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A really technical case and how to solve the pain point.
There are in total 4rounds including 2 rounds with senior peers and 1 round with +1 and round with HR, not that difficult. But I think the experience match is most important……..
4 interviews
- Recruiter screening
- HM interview
- Peer Interview
- Functional interview
Each round has around 45 minutes. Case and BQ are heavy, and the interviewers will leave 5-10 minutes for questions toward the end of the session
